米Basis Technologyの日本法人ベイシス・テクノロジーに在籍するテクニカルコンサルタントのターナーは、セールスチームのサポートや、日本のお客様のサポートはもちろん、パートナー企業の技術や製品に関する最新情報を把握して彼らの日本における営業・マーケティング活動をサポートするなど、多角的に活躍しています。Basis Technologyに入社する以前は、マシンビジョンシステムを提供する米Cognexの日本法人コグネックス株式会社に18年間在籍していました。会社を、従業員10数名から250名規模までに大きくしたチームの一員でした。その他、スペースシャトルをスペースステーションにドッキングさせるシステムや、ロケットを使ってパラシュートなしでペイロードを着陸させるシステムから、高出力レーザーを使って手術を行うシステムまで多岐にわたる設計をこなし、数えきれないほど多くの興味深い仕事に携わってきました。MITでは、電気工学を専攻。

As a technical consultant based in Tokyo at the Basis Technology KK offices, Isao takes on many roles including customer engineer to support the sales team, customer support for Japanese customers, and coming up to speed on the technology and products of partner companies to support their sales and marketing in Japan. Prior to Basis Technology, Isao spent 18 years at Cognex KK, which was providing machine vision system to semiconductor equipment manufacturers in Japan. He was part of the team that grew the company from dozen to 250 employees. Isao has also held numerous fun jobs from designing systems for docking Space Shuttle with Space Station, using rocket to land payload without parachute, to medical surgery using high powered lasers. Isao attended MIT where he majored in electrical engineering.
