ジョナサン・エプスタイン氏は、米国と日本において人工知能、クラウドコンピューティング、フィンテックのエンジェル投資家として積極的に活動しています。また、Cornerstone OnDemand でカントリーマネージャー職にもついています。ソフトバンクの戦略ディレクターとして、孫正義氏の下で、アリババへの2,000万ドルの初期投資から、「ナスダック・ジャパン」の創設まで、さまざまな取引を行ってきました。 この他に、ペイパルジャパン株式会社代表取締役社長、アシュリオン・ジャパン株式会社最高リスク管理責任者、クレドラクス・ジャパン株式会社代表取締役社長、AIGジャパン・ホールディングス株式会社副社長などを歴任しています。

また、EdgeMetrics AI、クラウディアン株式会社、マネーツリー株式会社（会長）、PlusAMP（会長）などで役員会メンバーも務めています。また、Guidewire（ニューヨーク証券取引所：GWRE）のエンジェルラウンド投資家でもありました。

米ハーバード大学ビジネススクールにてMBAを取得、米プリンストン大学でも学位を取得しています。日本語とフランス語を流暢に話し、北京語とヘブライ語は日常会話レベルのやり取りができます。

Jonathan Epstein is an active angel investor in AI, cloud and fintech in the U.S. and Japan and is Country Manager at Cornerstone. He started with Masayoshi Son as Softbank’s Director of Strategy, doing deals ranging from the initial $20m investment into Alibaba to creating Nasdaq Japan. Other previous roles include Paypal Japan GM, Asurion Japan CRO, Credorax GM, and AIG Japan VP.

Jonathan’s board memberships include EdgeMetrics AI, Cloudian, Moneytree (chair), PlusAMP (chair). He was an angel-round investor in Guidewire (NYSE: GWRE).

Jonathan graduated from Harvard Business School with an MBA and an AB from Princeton. He is fluent in Japanese and French and conversational in Mandarin and Hebrew.
